How Porsche 911 owners go camping?
They sleep on the roof of their car with Porsche Roof Tent
Sleep Under the Stars
Although camping isn’t one of the Porsche 911’s best features, there are no restrictions if you want to go to enjoy the outdoors with your 911. You just need some cool accessories. And with the Porsche Roof Tent, you can even spend the night quite comfortably by sleeping on the roof of your 911.
Porsche Roof Tent is an all-season, two-person tent that comes in an exclusive hardcase developed at the Weissach Development Centre and co-designed in collaboration with an industry-leading outdoor brand and Studio F.A. Porsche Zell am See.
Porsche Roof Tent
The Porsche roof tent can be set up easily. First, you open the lockable safety latches. Then you lift the hardcase slightly and open it up with the aid of two gas pressure shock absorbers. The foot zone of the floor is then folded out and stabilised using the integrated telescopic ladder. The tent is now already unfolded. The last step is simply to erect the tent and make it taut with the four poles.
Now, thanks to two side windows and a roof window, you can enjoy the scenery and sleep comfortably right under the stars. However, the temperature might drop during the night if the sky is clear. Thankfulle, there are also some cool (or warm) accessories available.
These include a heated blanket, a shoe and bag organiser and an inner tent. Handling the inner tent is designed to be just as easy and precise. It takes just a few minutes to attach the inner tent to the inside of the Porsche roof tent.
Choice of Colors
The Porsche Roof Tent can be installed on the roof of most Porsche models, including the 911. Naturaly, it can’t be installed on the roof of the Cabriolet, Targa or GT models. It is available either with the black/light grey or black/dark grey hardcase, both of which are adorned with a matt black Porsche logo.
